Luxury two bedroom self catering cottage on beautiful, secluded estate 11 miles from Invergarry

Glengarry Cabin is situated at Lochan Torr Woodlands, an enchanting small estate in beautiful Glen Garry, combining tranquil and private surroundings with access to the area’s many outdoor activities and attractions.  The estate has a lochan, woodland, with oak, birch, commercial conifers and several acres of native Scots pines, open ground, a trout pond and many pools and burns, providing a haven for wildlife.  It is home to red deer, which are frequently seen right next to the cottage.  There are views from the estate to Loch Garry and the mountains to the south, west and north, giving many photo opportunities.  Guests may explore the estate and also use it as a base from which to cycle and walk, make trips
around the Highlands or take part in a fantastic range of outdoor activities.

Lochan Torr is near the tiny settlement of Tomdoun, only 11 miles from Invergarry on the road to Kinloch Hourn, gateway to Knoydart.  This location, close to the Great Glen, the A82 to Fort William, Fort Augustus and Inverness and the A87 to Skye, provides an ideal base for day trips around the Highlands, with many family attractions within easy travelling distance.  The journey time by car to Nevis Range gondola and ski and mountain biking centre is approximately 45 minutes.

The sparsely populated region between Invergarry and Kincloch Hourn has some of Scotland’s most spectacular scenery; woodlands with native Scots pine, Lochs Garry, Poulary and Quoich, wild moorland, hills and mountains, including the Munros Gairich, Gleouraich, Spidean Mialach and Sgurr Mhaoraich.  At the western end is fjord-like sea Loch Hourn and Kinloch Hourn, gateway to the “wild bounds” of Knoydart, one of Britain’s last wilderness areas.   The diverse and largely uninhabited landscape of the glen attracts a great variety of wildlife with osprey occasionally spotted on Loch Garry.
